Premiere Event 2017 Winners Showcase
Our premier event has come and gone for this year but the awards are still shining bright for all to see thanks to Leah Villmer and her crew Paul & Betty Fisher, Sue Nelson & Kenn Eultgen that worked so hard to create this Hall of Fame. These ribbons shown combined with the honorable mentions we awarded over 180 ribbons to over 100 photographers.
Wow, Wow, Wow that's a lot of ribbons in one place just think each photograph and ribbon has it's own story and many emotions attached to them. If you look really close each photograph has the name of the photographer and the category. A lot of work and it's GREAT can't wait to see it in person, it will be on display the entire month of October 2017

Prior to our trip I will have brochures that show locations of shops, historic homes, historic inns/hotels and eateries. To get around town there's a handy trolley so you can park & ride. Late summer in Missouri finds most most of us counting the torrid days until Autumn begins but not this year for our thoughts were filled with the Great American eclipse that would pass from the Pacific to the Atlantic coast bestowing "Totality" for all of St Louis and Jefferson County to witness.
Our members took full advantage of the cosmic events spreading themselves over three counties. Some skipped out of work for a couple of hours, others had the whole day and some are lucky enough to be retired all spending the exquisite time with family and friends.
If you spend enough time as a club member your fellow patrons become a extended family so I found myself as the solar phases advanced wondering who was where and doing what; you will see in these pictures the one common thread between all of us during this spectacular event was to capture all we could, enjoying every second while it lasted, bringing some to tears from the emotion it provoked and the satisfaction that we might have a photograph that will be a treasured keepsake to last us the rest of our lives. The magic of photography how else could we preserve these moments for all time............
